NIUTUN 100 is a social app that focuses on discussions and downloads of trendy apps.
PROBLEM
Users want to discover and download apps through word-of-mouth recommendations from people they know.
OPPORTUNITY
A community feature would enable users to interact socially, allowing them to rate and discuss apps.

CHALLENGE
Easily locating the app being discussed and initiating the download was a challenge.
SOLUTION
To address this challenge, I implemented a feature that enables post creators to tag the app within their text. The tagged app would appears as a prominent download button that stands out from the surrounding text and image posts. Once clicked, the download process will automatically begin.
OUTCOME
As a result of sharing and reposting, users can conveniently stay within the app and download recommended apps through connections they trust. The client expressed great satisfaction with the results, and our app successfully launched in 2021.

Process: Discover & Research
We brainstormed with subject matter experts to create user stories, define business goals and affinity mapping.

Process: Discover & Research
The task flows created defined primary and secondary user flows per persona type. To keep the main user goal in clear sight, questions were asked, like “what does xyz user need to do 80% of the time?”

Process: Develop & IDeation
Low fidelity sketches where created to help define potential screen content, user interactions, and layout opportunities. This allowed for rapid team feedback for the big picture.

Process: Research Support
I supported the research team from project start through completion with strategy, test focus, prototypes and user feedback collection.
We tested 7 users, they were able to successfully complete all tasks, not having any prior experience. Among the 7, 5 of them found the it’s very easy, 2 of them find somewhat easy.

Process: Deliver & Implementation
The small UXUI team created high fidelity screens and prototypes in Figma. Feedback and reaction gathered led to the final refinements for launch.
